Moberly

Moberly is a city in Randolph County, Missouri, United States. The population was 11,945 at the 2000 census. The city was incorporated 1868. The Moberly Micropolitan Statistical Area consists of Randolph County. Moberly Midget League has provided a summer baseball program for the local youth since 1950. Randolph County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. The county was organized in 1829 and named for John Randolph of Roanoke, congressman and U.S. senator from Virginia. Missouri's border physically touches a total of eight different states.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 30.1 square kilometers. 29.9 square kilometers of it is land and 0.1 square kilometers of it is water. In the city the population was spread out with 24.8 percent under the age of 18, 11.1 percent from 18 to 24, 25.4 percent from 25 to 44, 20.1 percent from 45 to 64, and 18.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older.
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns, Moberly is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
