Milpitas
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.
Milpitas is a city in Santa Clara County, California. Milpitas is usually considered to be a small northern suburb of San Jose. It is located with San Jose to its south and Fremont to its north, at the eastern end of Highway 237 and near the southern ends of Interstates 680 and 880. With Alameda County bordering directly on the north, Milpitas sits in the extreme northeast section of the South Bay, bordering the East Bay and Fremont. Milpitas is also located within the Silicon Valley, a region of hi-tech computer businesses and industries. According to the 2000 census, population of the city was 62,698.
Milpitas is a middle-class suburban community that is demographically similar to Berryessa and Evergreen Valley. Like Berryessa and Evergreen Valley, Milpitas has a large middle-class Vietnamese American population. Other significant ethnic groups, respectively in size, are Filipino Americans, Latinos, whites, Chinese Americans, African Americans, and Samoans.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.3 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 24.6 percent under the age of 18, 9.5 percent from 18 to 24, 38.0 percent from 25 to 44, 20.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 7.0 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females, there are 110.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.4 males.
Milpitas is also known as the city of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
