Michigan City

Michigan City is a city in Nelson County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 345 at the 2000 census. Michigan City was founded in 1883. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square kilometers. 1.4 square kilometers of it is land and 1.82 percent is water. Michigan is located between Grand Forks and Devils Lake, both in North Dakota.
In the city the population was spread out with 23.5 percent under the age of 18, 6.1 percent from 18 to 24, 24.9 percent from 25 to 44, 23.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 21.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 100.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.7 males.
It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
