Racine

Racine is a city in Racine County, Wisconsin, along Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 81,855. It is the county seat of Racine County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 48.4 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 28.7 under the age of 18, 9.9 percent from 18 to 24, 30.0 percent from 25 to 44, 19.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 12.2 percent who were 65 years of age or older.
