Twin Falls

Twin Falls is the county seat and largest city of Twin Falls County, IdahoGR6. As of the 2000 census Twin Falls population was 34,469. In the year 2003 it was estimated 36,742. Humans may have been present in the Twin Falls area as long as 14,500 years ago.
Excavations at Wilson Butte Cave near Twin Falls in 1959 revealed evidence of human activity, including arrowheads, that rank among the oldest dated artifacts in North America. Later Native American tribes predominant the area included the Northern and Western Shoshone. Twin Falls is located at the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 31.1 square kilometers and rest is land.
In the city the population was spread out with 26.5 percent under the age of 18, 12.1 percent from 18 to 24, 26.2 percent from 25 to 44, 20.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 15.0 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 92.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.5 males. Twin Falls is home to CSI, the College of Southern Idaho, a large community college in the northwestern part of the city. Twin Falls is served by U.S. Highway 30, U.S. Highway 93 and is near Interstate 84. Trans IV, a small public transportation system operated by the College of Southern Idaho, is also available.
