Kingman

Kingman is a city in Kingman County, Kansas, United States. The population was 3,387 inhabitants at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Kingman County. Kingman County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kansas. The largest city and county seat is Kingman. Kansas is a Midwestern state in the Central United States. The state is named after the Kansas River that flows through it, which in turn derived its name from the Siouan word Kansa meaning People of the south winds.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.0 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 26.4 percent under the age of 18, 7.1 percent from 18 to 24, 23.6 percent from 25 to 44, 20.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 22.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 84.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.7 males.
