The town newspaper is the Breeze-Courier, which is the only daily paper serving Christian County. In the city the population was spread out with 24.1 percent under the age of 18, 7.3 percent from 18 to 24, 26.9 percent from 25 to 44, 21.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 19.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 88.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.3 males.
