The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia. Idaho Falls is the county seat and largest city of Bonneville County. In 2003, the population of the city was 51,507 and an area of 45.0 square kilometers. Idaho Falls regularly switches places with Pocatello as the third largest city in the state and the largest city in the Eastern Idaho region. Idaho Falls is the principal city of and is included in the Idaho Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Idaho Falls-Blackfoot, Idaho Combined Statistical Area. In the city the population was spread out with 30.3 percent under the age of 18, 10.1 percent from 18 to 24, 27.6 percent from 25 to 44, 20.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 11.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.8 males. Idaho Falls is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in United States worth paying a visit while touring the country.
