Panama City
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia. Panama is city and is located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. It has total population of 708,738 inhabitants, with a total metro population of 1,063,000 inhabitants. Panama City is the political, administrative and cultural center of the country. Juan Carlos Navarro is the current mayor of the city. The area in city is 275 square kilometers and Metro is 2,560.8 square kilometers. The city was founded on August 15, 1519, by Pedro Arias de Avila, also known as Pedrarias Davila. Within a few years of its founding, the city became a launching point for the exploration and conquest of Peru and a transit point for gold and silver headed back to Spain through the Isthmus. The city has numerous tourist attractions including world class hotels and restaurants. Panama City's international airport is Tocumen International Airport located on the eastern outskirts of the city. Panama City experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people also combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
