Havre
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.
Havre is a municipality in Hill County, Montana, is said to be named after the city of Le Havre in France. The area was initially known as Bullhook Bottoms. In 2000, the population of the city was 9,621 and an area of 9.0 square kilometers. It is the county seat of Hill County. Located in north central Montana, it was incorporated in 1893.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.7 percent under the age of 18, 13.6 percent from 18 to 24, 25.4 percent from 25 to 44, 20.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 14.6 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 96.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.3 males.
