Sierra Vista is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, USA. According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 41,908 inhabitants. Fort Huachuca, a U.S. Army base, is located just northwest of the city. Sierra Vista is located at the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 397.5 square kilometers. The 397.5 square kilometers of it is land and 0.1 square kilometers of it is water. It is located 4,623 feet above sea level. The total area is 0.02 percent water.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.8 percent under the age of 18, 13.0 percent from 18 to 24, 29.2 percent from 25 to 44, 19.9 percent from 45 to 64, and 12.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.7 males.
