The village of Harrisonburg is the parish seat of Catahoula Parish, in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The population was 746 at the 2000 census and an area of 2.7 square kilometers. The population density was 306.4 per square kilometer. In the village the population was spread out with 13.4 percent under the age of 18, 22.4 percent from 18 to 24, 42.5 percent from 25 to 44, 12.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 9.5 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 273.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 316.8 males.
