Orange
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.
The City of Orange is located in Orange County, California. It is approximately 3 miles north of the County seat in Santa Ana, California, and approximately 32 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Orange was founded in 1869 and Incorporated in April 6, 1888. Carolyn Cavecche is the Mayor. The original inhabitants of the region that now comprises the City of Orange, California were Native American peoples, known as Gabrielinos to the local Spanish settlers.The City has a total area of 69.9 square kilometers. Its density is 2,126.5 per square kilometers.
Orange is home to parks, lakes, a small zoo, and a wildlife sanctuary. The Block at Orange, a major shopping and entertainment center for the region, is located on the western edge of the City. The Villa Park Orchards Association packing house, located along the former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway mainline, is the sole remaining fruit packing operation in Orange County. Orange is situated near many state freeways as well as Interstate 5.
According to State Historic Resource Surveys, Orange is unique among the region and the state in that it has the second largest concentration of historic buildings. Residents and visitors have repeatedly voted historic Old Towne as Orange County’s favorite downtown. The plaza conjures up images of Main Street, USA complete with outdoor dining, specialty shops, and the central plaza park. More than 60 antique dealers line the downtown streets, making Orange the antique capital of Southern California. Peters Canyon Regional Park offers a unique blend of native habitat and man's influence on the land.
The Orange County Badminton Club features the largest badminton facility in the Western Hemisphere. GameWorks located at the Block at Orange, GameWorks is an interactive entertainment facility for the whole family featuring the newest games and a full restaurant and bar. Vans Skate Park is a 46,000 square feet, this is the world’s largest and most technically advanced skate facility. House of Victorian Visions Bridal Museum is one of the well-known places in that city. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
