Sandy Springs

Sandy Springs is a newly incorporated city in Fulton County, Georgia, north of Atlanta and south of Roswell. In 2006, the population of the city was 85,000 and an area of 101.0 square kilometers; Sandy Springs is Georgia's seventh-largest city. It is the second largest of three principal cities of and is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area.
In the city the population was spread out with 17.8 percent under the age of 18, 10.5 percent from 18 to 24, 40.3 percent from 25 to 44, 21.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 9.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.0 males.
