San Juan

San Juan is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 26,229 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 28.5 square kilometers, all land.
In the city the population was spread out with 37.4 percent under the age of 18, 11.9 percent from 18 to 24, 27.4 percent from 25 to 44, 15.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 7.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females there were 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males.
Like some of its sister municipalities and towns, San Juan is blessed with beautiful surroundings and a unique natural setting. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people all combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
