North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach is a municipality in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. In 2000, the population of the city was 10,974 and an area of 35.0 square kilometers. The city is broken into four sections from north to south Cherry Grove, Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill. In 1992, these formerly separate municipalities were combined into the single town of North Myrtle Beach.
In the city the population was spread out with 13.8 percent under the age of 18, 6.1 percent from 18 to 24, 25.9 percent from 25 to 44, 32.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 21.5 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 99.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.2 males.
North Myrtle Beach is a distinct municipality from Myrtle Beach and Atlantic Beach, which lies in the middle of the city. North Myrtle Beach is also the host of the Harley-Davidson Bike Rally which is held twice a year. North Myrtle Beach is also one of the top golf resort areas in the country. North Myrtle Beach is the kind of town you daydream about. It is an attractive city with natural beauty and historical places, while traveling in United States.
