The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia. Logan is a municipality in Cache County, Utah, in the United States. In 2005, the population of the city was 47,357 and an area of 44.2 square kilometers. It is the county seat of Cache County. It is the principal city of and included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. Logan is located in northern Utah, north of Ogden on the Logan River; it is about 82 miles north of Salt Lake City. Logan features a variety of media outlets which cater to residents of the Cache Valley. In the city the population was spread out with 23.4 percent under the age of 18, 34.3 percent from 18 to 24, 25.5 percent from 25 to 44, 9.7 percent from 45 to 64, and 7.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 24 years. For every 100 females there were 92.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.5 males. Logan is the kind of town you daydream about.
