Corpus Christi is the county seat of Nueces County and a coastal city located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the region known as South Texas. In 2004, the population of the city was 281,196 and an area of 1,192.0 square kilometers, making it the eighth-largest city in the state. The city is home to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. The Corpus Christi International Airport on the west side of the city serves Corpus Christi.
 
In the city the population was spread out with 28.1 percent under the age of 18, 10.6 percent from 18 to 24, 29.2 percent from 25 to 44, 21.0 percent from 45 to 64, and 11.1 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.2 males.

Corpus Christi is one of the premiere destinations for wind sports such as kite boarding, wind surfing, and kite flying. Corpus Christi is the kind of town you daydream about.
