Cerritos
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.
Cerritos is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, and is one of several cities that constitute the Gateway Cities of southeast Los Angeles County. It was incorporated on April 24, 1956. According to the California Department of Finance, the population was 55,074 inhabitants as of 2005. The city of Dairy Valley was incorporated on April 24, 1956, as a reaction to nearby Artesia's rapid urbanization. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 23.0 square kilometers. The cities bordering Cerritos on the Los Angeles County side include Artesia in the center, Bellflower, La Mirada, Lakewood, Norwalk, and Santa Fe Springs. Buena Park and La Palma border the city on the Orange County side.
The population is spread out with 24.5 percent under the age of 18, 8.8 percent from 18 to 24, 25.8 percent from 25 to 44, 31.3 percent from 45 to 64, and 9.7 percent who are 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there are 94.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.3 males.
Cerritos experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people also combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
