Burbank
The United States of America is a country in North America that extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and shares land borders with Canada and Mexico. The United States is a federal constitutional republic, with its capital in Washington, D.C., District of Columbia.
Burbank is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of 2004, the city has a population of 105,400. Burbank is located in the eastern region of the San Fernando Valley, north and east of the city of Los Angeles. Billed as the Media Capital of the World, many media and entertainment companies are headquartered or have significant production facilities in Burbank, including The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.
In the city the population was spread out with 22.3 percent under the age of 18, 7.7 percent from 18 to 24, 35.4 percent from 25 to 44, 21.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 12.8 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 94.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.7 males. Much of Burbank's economy is based on the entertainment industry. While Hollywood is considered a symbol of the glamorous entertainment industry, much of the actual production takes place in Burbank.
Burbank experiences a boom with day tourists, owing to the clear air, town character with rich culture, high quality of life and conspicuously original history. The picturesque scenery, the majesty of nature, the slow pace of life, and the welcoming nature of its people also combine to make this region one of the most important tourist attractions in United States.
