Bryan is a city in Brazos County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 65,660 inhabitants. It is the county seat of Brazos County and is situated in East Texas. The city is centrally located, approximately equidistant from three of the 10 largest cities in the United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 112.5 square kilometers.
 
In the city the population was spread out with 27.0 percent under the age of 18, 18.1 percent from 18 to 24, 29.8 percent from 25 to 44, 15.8 percent from 45 to 64, and 9.3 percent who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males.
