Manufactured Home Builders
Manufactured homes and modular homes have been often confused; however, they refer to two different things. Although both are built in a factory, manufactured homes are actually built and set in the factory. Builders of this type of home have to follow the federal building HUD code. Once the structure has been moved to the building site, the home is placed on permanent foundations, but not always. Unlike modular homes, manufactured homes’ structure does not require the approval of building inspectors but the wiring and plumbing do. They are cheaper than modular and site-built homes. Nevertheless, their value usually decreases over time.
